Reflecting
of You
The Light
Helping performers and high-achievers stay connected to themselves while navigating high-pressure, identity-shifting, or misaligned environments.
Why I do This
We have all fallen victim to "the way things are supposed to be" — beliefs we inherited and adopted without any real say in the matter. For high-achieving people who live and work in the spotlight, those beliefs hit differently. The pressure to perform. The cost of visibility. The quiet exhaustion of being brilliant for everyone else.
I know this because I've lived it — on Broadway stages and in disability classrooms, in boardrooms and grant applications, in the in-between spaces where no role quite fits.
Staying on that inherited path leads to complacency, resentment, and a kind of tiredness that's hard to name. I created Orange Moon Coaching for the people who are ready to put it down.
My work is about bringing you back to yourself — grounded, clear, and free to choose your own life consciously. You don't need to keep pushing forward. You need to find out what you actually want to move toward.
1:1 COACHING · 3 MONTHS
THE WARMTH METHOD
This is a deeply personal, three-month 1:1 coaching journey for high-achieving individuals in theatre, wellness, and beyond — people who are exhausted from performing for everyone else. Together we move through five stages, from nervous system regulation all the way to a concrete plan for your most authentic life.
What makes this different is me. My background as a working Broadway performer, educator, and nonprofit founder means I hold space unlike anyone else in this field. I will reflect you back to yourself in ways that shift everything.

Stages

-
Nervous system and sensory regulation to calm the spirit and prepare you for the deep work. You'll arrive, settle, and feel steady enough to begin.
-
From a grounded place, we begin the acceptance practice. We explore where you are, trace how you got here, and celebrate everything you've built along the way.
-
We uncover the inherited beliefs that got you here — and are keeping you stuck. This is where I get the privilege of reflecting you back to yourself. You get to be truly seen.
-
We gently begin to counteract those beliefs and bring you back to the real you. Acknowledgment becomes celebration. The light starts to return.
-
We map your next steps. You walk away warm, with a clear — if beautifully scary — strategy and anchoring tools to keep you on your own path.

MY STORY
WHAT IS AN ORANGE MOON?
Hello, I’m Stephane Duret, and I am an Orange Moon.
In Erykah Badu’s song “Orange Moon,” she sings of a force so bright that it is isolated, waiting to find another force—an equally brilliant moon—to reflect its light. For years, I identified with the sun in this scenario: passionate, fierce, and often misunderstood. I was both elusive and enigmatic, feeling isolated and alone. I spent so much time trying to fit into boxes that never felt like mine, wondering why I didn’t quite belong and seeking guidance that didn’t resonate. I began to realize I didn’t need to fit into someone else’s path—I was learning to define my own. It was the beginning of my coaching journey, and from that moment, I knew I wanted to help others do the same: forge their own path, in their own unique way.
As a musical theatre performer, I’ve experienced the highs and lows that come with the pursuit of your dreams. From performing leading roles on Broadway to working in small storefront theaters in Chicago, I’ve been exalted and torn down, sometimes for the same body of work. The ride has been full of triumphs and setbacks, but the most important lesson I've learned is that resilience without self-knowledge is just survival. Booking gigs in succession only to face years without a single "yes" didn't just teach me how to show up after every “no” — it taught me to ask why I was showing up at all, and for whom.
As the founder and executive director of Kaiser’s Room, a NYC non-profit offering arts programming for people with cognitive and developmental disabilities, I’ve experienced the full range of challenges—from creating truly inclusive programming to navigating imposter syndrome and learning when to protect myself from being taken advantage of. Through it all, I developed the skill of perseverance, and I learned how to inspire others to stay the course and keep pushing forward.
I believe we all have fundamental sensory needs, and these can only be met when we have regulated nervous systems. This is the baseline. From there, we need creativity and support to continue thriving along our own individual paths. The truth is, our paths are unique—and they deserve to be embraced as such.
You are the sun, and with me as your Orange Moon, there will be plenty of light to guide you along the way.
If any of this resonates, I'd love to talk. The Warmth Method is how I do this work — and it was built from everything I've lived.
